One of the most common types of diversion safes are the can safes, otherwise known as stash cans. These diversion safes are basically a normal can of soda that is emptied and that has a lid that screws on and off easily. You can normally get a cheap can safe for $10-20 online.

A can safe is not the best choice of diversion safe in my opinion just because they are too common compaired to most of the other types of hidden compartment devices. The only good place I can think of keeping a can safe is with other kinds of the same can, for example just putting your diversion safe as the last can in the back of the fridge.

Protecting valueable always comes down to other people not being able to get to the items you’re trying to protect. Although when it comes down to it a cheap diversion can safe is going to appear as a nice soft drink to anyone who sees it, and they just very well might try to open it, and than your secret stash is discovered.
